Demonstration versions

A demonstration version of Gemecter Sudoku is available. It contains all of the features available in the real game with the exception that the game automatically completes itself leaving the final few cells for you to fill in and it is not possible to empty (blank) cells during play.

It has been created to ensure phone compatibility - if the demonstration version works on your phone; so will the real version.

There are two ways of downloading the demonstration version to your phone:

Using your phones web browser

Your phone must be WAP enabled in order to obtain the demonstration version.

Use your phones WAP browser (or Opera Mini if you have it installed) to browse to the web address:

This will present you with a screen similar to the following

The demonstration version of of Gemecter Sudoku is available Here.

Using your phones browser, select the Here link and select it. This will start the installation process automatically.

Note: If you are connecting to the internet using a mobile phone network such as GPRS to download these files, your operator may charge you for this service at your tariffs data (wap) rate. Please ensure you have sufficient credit if using a "pay as you go" tariff.

  • Your phone may ask you if you want to install the demonstration version of sudoku, answer yes to ensure installation.
  • Your phone may also state the the program is untrusted and if it is ok to continue installing, answer yes to ensure installation.

    The demonstration game will be installed in your phones "games" or "applications" directory.

    Using a PC

    It is also possible to copy the installation files to your PC and then transfer them to your phone using your phones data cable via USB. Consult your phones manual for instructions on how to do this.

    Two files will need to be downloaded to your pc and transferred to your phone, a file with the extention "jad" and a second with the extension "jar":

    1. "jad file" sudoku.jad
    2. "jar file" sudoku.jar

    The demonstration version of Sudoku can now be installed using the "jad" file.
